Visit West is the lead organisation for the region, developing and promoting the Visitor Economy – a sector that has huge diversity in its offer, and one where strong collaboration and co-ordination is essential.  A public-private partnership, operating on a not-for-profit basis, Visit West delivers a membership programme for businesses to maximise opportunities in developing their connectivity to both consumer and trade audiences.

The Membership Manager will be an advocate and champion for the Visitor Economy, working closely with businesses across the west of England to promote Visit West’s membership programme.  This will include work with prospective and current members, via personal face – face visits, email and phone calls.

The Membership Manager is responsible for generating new leads, managing the process for new members joining and the first point of contact for member enquiries. 

The post holder will help develop a programme of member events and contribute to the development of Visit West membership programme, ensuring it remains current and continues to offer maximum value.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, and a good initiative for sales. A positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential, along with a genuine interest in the Visitor Economy and the businesses who make up this exciting sector.

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and keen to develop their knowledge of sales and marketing within a tourism environment.

The post holder will need to be organised and efficient. A working knowledge of programmes such as MS Office and experience in using CRM systems is important.

£28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
