New website developments in 2021

  • TXGB integration was added in April 2021, further enabling the ability of members to sell tickets via the Visit Bristol website with a shorter customer journey.
  • 'Lazy loading' was added in early 2021 improving load speed times and bandwidth usage. This improves the user experience which ultimately will increase dwell time and positive interaction with business listings and information on the website.
  • Blog pagination was added in August 2021 to allow search engines to more easily crawl through older and evergreen blogs, therefore increasing exposure to business listings and also improving search ranking.
  • Booking links were added for business listings and events in November 2021. This allows for a separate address for direct booking to be added, and a resulting 'Book Now' button on the listing.
