VisitBath.co.uk had 1.85 million sessions in 2021

+ 32.15% compared to 2020 and only down – 14.1% compared to 2019.*

*This is considering the first quarter of 2021 was in lockdown and then a slow recovery, plus the Omicron wave in December which affected Christmas activity. A new site was launched in November 2021 which search engines then had to re-index.

Devices

Mobile views continue to rise, with nearly 64% of all visits from a mobile device

New website developments in 2021

  • A brand new bespoke VisitBath.co.uk website was launched in November 2021. You can read our release for the launch here, including an overview of the website features
  • TXGB integration was added in April 2021, further enabling the ability of members to sell tickets via the Visit Bath website with a shorter customer journey.
  • Booking links were added for business listings and events in November 2021. This allows for a separate address for direct booking to be added, and a resulting 'Book Now' button on the listing.
  • Accessibility keys were added to VisitBath to allow users to navigate the site more easily. Further accesibility features will be added in 2022.
  • Improved search icons and options were added for interest groups (e.g. dog-friendly, family, car parking, electric car charging, accessible)

Social Media channels

We have 141,450 total social followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter – over 18,000 extra since this time last year in Dec 2020.
