Coach brand FlixBus is celebrating five years of connecting communities across the UK, launching a nationwide design competition for students to mark its 5th anniversary.
The winning design will be wrapped onto a vehicle and showcased for a full year on the roads, turning the work into a moving piece of public art.
The winner will also take home a £2,000 cash prize and a year of free travel in the UK, which now includes over 100 destinations on its network in England, Wales and Scotland.
Using the theme Five Years Connecting the Lines, entrants are tasked with creating a design that captures movement, connectivity and celebration.
Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel, which will select a shortlist of finalists. Additional prizes are available for outstanding entries.
Designs will then go to a public vote, with the most popular taking the top prize and being brought to life on one of FlixBus’s iconic green vehicles.

As a leading travel technology brand, FlixBus entered the UK back in 2021, expanding routes across the country as well as offering a network of thousands of destinations across Europe by coach.
The competition deadline is 25 April 2026. Entrants are encouraged to share their inspiration alongside the design.
