About

Greville Smyth Park was originally part of Ashton Court Estate, Greville Smyth Park is now a very popular local community park in south Bristol, well known for its splendid trees, fine views, exciting children's play area and varied community-led activity programme.

The great joy of Greville Smyth Park is its beautiful mature trees. A specimen Indian Bean Tree grows below the tennis courts on the eastern (Frayne Road) edge of the park.

On top of all this, tennis courts are available through a local tennis club. Also, the Ashton Boys Football Club use the park for training and junior matches, and the Greville Smyth Bowls Club plays on the park's bowling green. See the Friends of Greville Smyth website for more information about tennis, football and bowls in the park.

Greville Smyth Park is open 24 hours. The site is on different levels and some of the paths are unsuitable for wheelchairs, however all parts of the park are accessible via various routes.
