Top Gear and The Grand Tour host Richard Hammond has turned his passions towards the world of spirits – having collaborated with Hawkridge Distillers to create his own Ratio London Dry Gin and Iron Ridge English Single Malt Whisky. Hammond will be coming to both Flourish sites in Saltford and Norton St Philip on Friday 4th July 2025 to meet customers, sign bottles and celebrate the launch. Flourish Foodhall & Kitchen are thrilled to be the first retailer to stock Hammond’s new products, acquired through Flourish’s wholesale partner, Cotswold Fayre, who have been announced as the exclusive wholesaler for the Hammond’s spirits brand. This is particularly exciting after Flourish become the first retailer to stock Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous ‘Diddly Squat Farm’ range in January 2025.
Flourish’s first site, Glenavon Farm, opened in Saltford in 2021 as a people and planet-focused destination to eat and shop. Since then, Flourish has expanded into Home & Lifestyle in 2022, a Pottery Painting Barn in 2023 and transformed Farleigh Road Farm Shop in just 4 months into Flourish at Farleigh Road which opened its doors in November 2024. In March 2025, Flourish opened its own Production Kitchen supplying both sites with homemade scotch eggs, sausage rolls, sponge cakes, cookies and more using local ingredients.

Richard Hammond is a household name in automotive entertainment and his love of craftmanship and adventure have poured into these two spirits. He personally designed the botanical ratio for his dry gin, taking inspiration from the diverse landscapes he’s explored. The gin features locally-sourced ingredients such as bilberries, wild gorse flowers and nettles, blended with local honey to create a “complex yet approachable” flavour profile. The whisky’s name comes from a hillside ridge visible from his home in the Lake District – he sought out the finest casks, working closely with Hawkridge Distillers to develop a meticulously crafted spirit.
These two new products are much more than just a gin and a whisky – they tell a story of craftmanship, exploration and tradition.
Paul Castle, Flourish Managing Director, said: “We are so excited to be the first retailer to stock Hammond’s spirits and that he is coming here to celebrate the launch and meet customers who will be buying it. We think the story behind what Richard Hammond has created with Hawkridge Distillers will really resonate with our customers and we’re proud to have collaborated with our wholesale partner Cotswold Fayre to launch it at both Flourish sites”
Richard Hammond will be at Glenavon Farm in Saltford, Bristol from 11am and at Farleigh Road in Norton St Philip, Bath from 2:30pm on Friday 4th July.
