Pioneering Sri Lankan street food restaurant The Coconut Tree is celebrating Mother’s Day and Easter Sunday across its restaurants.

Mums Eat Free
From midday until 9pm on Mother’s Day mums can eat for free, enjoying any three dishes from The Coconut Tree’s main menu on the house. The offer is valid on all advance bookings.

Operations Director, Rashinthe Rodrigo, said “We’re big on family at The Coconut Tree, and we think mums - and of all those who love and care for others on a daily basis - are all-round heroes! We want to do something to say a little thank you, from us to them.”

Easter Eats
The Coconut Tree will also be bringing back its limited edition ‘Creme Egg Choccy Hopper’ in time for Easter weekend - the perfect way to celebrate with a sweet and savoury treat.
A hopper is a bowl-shaped pancake made from fermented rice flour and coconut milk. Cooked in small round pans, they are crispy around the edges, and thicker at the bottom, and are often served as part of a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with a selection of spicy sambals.
The limited edition Creme Egg Choccy Hopper from The Coconut Tree pairs a hopper with a filling of melted chocolate, crushed mini-eggs and a smashed Creme Egg, to give this authentic Sri Lankan street-food staple a sweet and seasonal twist.
The Creme Egg Choccy Hoppers, priced at £5 each, will be available throughout Easter weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
