Fantasy Forest, the popular family-friendly festival, is returning to Sudeley Castle on 16 and 17 July 2022 for a weekend packed full of lively entertainment, unique experiences, fantastic food and drink, and much more.

Fantasy Forest Festival returns to the Cotswolds this summer

Set within the stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle, Fantasy Forest festival offers a unique, inclusive experience against the backdrop of one of the Cotswolds most magnificent family friendly attractions. Festival goers can try their hand at a range of craft and skills workshops, enjoy an eclectic range of live music, explore the UK’s largest selection of fantasy market stalls, listen to captivating storytelling and even learn how to battle with a lightsaber.

A highlight of this year’s festival will take place on Sunday 17 July when the highly-acclaimed 65-piece Film Orchestra perform a live, two hour, al fresco concert, in the stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle. The Orchestra will perform favourites from fantasy films, TV shows and games, such as Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, World of Warcraft, Dr. Who and many more.

Fantasy Forest is a welcoming and inclusive festival celebrating all things sci-fi, fantasy and reenactment, so fans from Game of Thrones to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings to Marvel superheroes, and even little pirates and fairies, will be in their element.

Martin Pelgrim, from Fantasy Forest Festival, commented: “Despite the challenges we faced due to the pandemic, the 2021 Fantasy Forest Festival was the most successful to date. We saw an increase in ticket sales of over 200% from the previous year, and the feedback from the 2021 festival has been excellent. People seemed to enjoy the opportunity of escapism that Fantasy Forest Festival provides, a chance to relax and enjoy a weekend of entertainment and experience something a little different.”

Martin continued: “We’re thrilled to be returning to the stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle and have some very exciting new events and activities planned for this year’s festival. The live, outdoor performance from The Film Orchestra on the Sunday will be a festival highlight for many.”
