Bristol based expanded cinema practitioners Compass Presents are bringing their hit show Monty Python and the Foley Grail to the Wardrobe Theatre in March 2022. Screening at 7.30pm for five nights from March 15 -19, audiences can expect to see one of the most laugh-out-loud films of all time made even funnier by the additional element of audience participation live sound effects.

Released in 1975, Monty Python’s Holy Grail is considered a comedy masterpiece and firm cult classic. King Arthur, King of the Britons, faces a multitude of obstacles including the tenacious Knights of Ni, a rude Frenchman and a killer rabbit on his quest to find the Grail.

Described as ‘A silly show for silly people’ Compass Presents explain that upon your arrival you will be handed a package of foley-delights and instructed to follow your cue-master to add live sound effects – en masse.

While most of the foley items remain a surprise, Python fans are assured that coconuts are involved! Some food items are also included in the Foley package and anyone with a food allergy who wishes to attend should get in touch with Compass Presents via hello@compasspresents.com

Tickets are £13 / £11 for concessions and are available to purchase via The Wardrobe Theatre’s website (www.thewardrobetheatre.com)  or by calling the box office on 0117 0117 902 034.
