As the days get colder and darker, many focus on indoor creative projects from knitting, to making Christmas decorations and cards. Creative activities can have an enormous positive impact on wellbeing, yet isolation and loneliness can have a significant effect on our mental health.

Craft and Chat sessions are back at John Wesley’s New Room

‘Whilst winter can be challenging for many people’s wellbeing, these sessions are here to help - bringing like minded people together who love to get creative. We’re pleased to offer an opportunity for people to connect, meet others and share ideas.’ - Kate Rogers, Collections Manager.

Whatever you’re crafting, John Wesley’s New Room invites you to bring your latest creative project along and enjoy making with others each month. These sociable sessions will take place on the third Thursday of each month, with the next session taking place on Thursday 18 November, 2.30pm-4.30pm.

These welcoming sessions take place in the tranquil Café at John Wesley’s New Room, where crafters can enjoy fairtrade and organic coffee, a range of light lunch, afternoon teas or delicious cakes - such as the famous chocolate brownies (as sampled by HRH The Duke of Gloucester).

The Craft and Chat sessions are open to all, with a small contribution of £3 required which supports John Wesley’s New Room. No booking needed, just drop in and enjoy - first come, first served.
