Unfortunately the Covid-19 vaccination clinic which took place on Thursday 4 November at Bath University experienced an unprecedented walk-in demand from the public, compared to the majority of previous outreach clinics.

The longer waiting time and insufficient vaccine supplies to meet demand led to unacceptable behaviour and abuse directed at the vaccination teams.

Future clinics planned at the University of Bath on Thursday 11, 18 and 25 November will go ahead as planned, however will not provide a walk-in service. Instead, the clinics will focus on increasing vaccination uptake in 18-24 year olds and only offer booked appointments to Bath University students, arranged through the University directly, for 1st and 2nd doses only.
