Over the last decade, a growing community of designer-makers has flourished across the city. Each of Made in Bristol’s seasonal showcases celebrates a different array of talented creatives offering hundreds of unique artisan products, providing the perfect opportunity to get ahead with your festive shopping. The free family-friendly Gift Fairs offer the chance to support designer-makers, including carpenters, potters, weavers, leather-workers, jewellers and printmakers. It offers visitors the chance to shop local to find truly individual, handmade gifts. Meet the maker and buy direct from the artist.
Made in Bristol and Bristol Beacon are working hard to create a friendly, relaxed, safe shopping environment within the up to date covid-restrictions. With the pandemic affecting all areas of life last year, shopping options were limited but with the Gift Fair's return, you can once again browse in person, appreciating the quality of the work, ask questions directly and meet the designer. Supporting small independent businesses at this time is ever important. Made in Bristol celebrates the ethos of thoughtful, conscious gift buying.

Choosing to shop local from artist-makers and small businesses helps lessen environmental impacts associated with distribution, packaging etc. And investment in the local economy is both a plus for sustainability and a great way to ensure the legacy of creativity in our city.

This year Made in Bristol is proud to share Bristol Beacon with another homegrown business; Bristol Loaf. These award-winning artisan bakers will keep artist’s and punters alike topped up with delicious treats and beverages in its newly refurbished cafe.
