Bristol Old Vic today announce that OUTLIER, the latest new work co-produced with Bristol Old Vic Ferment, will be available to watch On Demand from 26 Jul – 8 Aug after a triumphant run both in theatre and live broadcast earlier this month.

The show hit Bristol Old Vic’s mainstage for a two week run (12 - 26 Jun), striking audiences with its raw gig-theatre style, Malaika Kegode’s powerful poetics and Bristol band Jakabol’s soaring music. Described as having “..exuberant, convivial energy” (The Stage) and “The spirit of Kerouac”  (The Guardian), it received a flurry of acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

Genre-defying and emotional, OUTLIER explores the impact of isolation, addiction and friendship on young people in the often forgotten places. Through their collaboration, Malaika and Jakabol fuse words and music to give a theatrical experience that finds the epic in the ordinary and magic in the everyday.

The show was directed by Jenny Davies and designed by Rebecca Wood. They were joined by Joe Price as Lighting Designer and Christopher Harrisson as Animation and Projection Designer.
