Calling all theatre lovers! Get ready for a new immersive production at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum; their amazing outdoor theatre show this August.

We’ve all heard of the Brothers Grimm and their stories but what if we told you, they were stolen stories! What if we told you Brunhilda and Mitzi - The Grimm Sisters - believe they are the true brains behind the fairy tales!

On Saturday 07 August, at either 12.30pm & 3pm, you can get to the bottom of this tale. Recommended for children over 6, due to some dark themes, and brought to life by Scratchworks Theatre Company, this two-woman play tells the story, with a marvellous mix of comedy, singing & live music. So, bring a blanket, cushion or low backed camping chair and become one with nature to watch this open-air performance.

Hannah Ward, Events Manager at Westonbirt said “We’ve long thought Westonbirt the perfect setting for open-air theatre and we’re thrilled to get started with this fun and mischievous production of The Grimm Sisters. We are developing our events offer to cater for a range of interests and we hope our visitors will enjoy something a bit different in amongst the trees. Let’s hope for clear skies!”

Tickets are available from Westonbirt Arboretum’s website and include a day admission ticket as well, so you can stay for the whole day and take a walk through the incredible woods or stop off at the new restaurant for some amazing food.

Scratchworks Theatre Company leads you outdoors to discover a joyful & mischievous interruption to the everyday. Following on from their popular comedy trilogy of ‘Great Train Robbery’, ‘WOMANS’ and ‘Hags: A Magical Extravaganza’, The Grimm Sisters is not to be missed.

We will let you in on a secret, Jeremy, the frog is not to be trusted…
