Foodies are in for a treat this summer when Fantastic Food Festivals descends on Bath Recreation ground to transform it into a gourmet paradise on Friday 16 - Sunday 18 July. Legendary chef Raymond Blanc will open the festival on Friday 16 July with a Q&A session in the Festival Kitchen followed by a book signing of his new book ‘Simply Raymond: Recipes from Home’.

A passionate community of talented celebrity and local Michelin-starred chefs and experts will feature throughout the weekend and are guaranteed to inspire and entertain even the most accomplished cook including: MasterChef champions Kenny Tutt and Thomas Frake, TV chef Dean Edwards, ‘The Wholefood Warrior’ Eva Humphries, Stefan Gates ‘The Gastronaut’ and Great British Bake Off star, Karen Wright. Household name Jean-Christophe Novelli will close the festival on Sunday 18th July.

With a wide variety of local and national food and drink stallholders, there’s an abundance of high quality enticing food and drink to sample and take home during the festival. Expect exciting family entertainment with slack-line and circus skills activities and a live acoustic Jazz Band to create a party atmosphere.

Festival Director, Angus Chilvers, Fantastic Food Festivals comments: “We’re really excited about our brand new food festival in Bath and delighted so many incredible chefs and experts can join us in the Festival Kitchen; be prepared to be amazed and hopefully you will learn something new! BBC Radio London presenter and foodie Nigel Barden and TV’s Andy Clarke (ITV This Morning and Love your Garden drinks presenter) will host the Festival Kitchen throughout the weekend and will definitely bring an element of fun!” 

Angus continues: “You can guarantee there will be plenty of artisan food and drink on offer to keep everyone happy, from spicy charcuterie and delicately decorated cupcakes to vibrant Greek, Italian, Spanish and Thai street food and British favourites. As we’re in the heart of Somerset there will of course be English cider tasting and delicious spirits from independent distilleries and local craft ales available.”

General admission tickets are now on sale at a reduced price from the website at £12.50 from www.fantasticfoodfestivals.co.uk with free entry for children 17 years and under!

For access to the VIP Garden (18 years and over), VIP bar, priority seats at the front of the Festival Kitchen (first come first served) and exclusive entertainment, why not upgrade to a VIP ticket at the reduced online cost of £35.00 per person. VIP Tickets go on sale from Wednesday 19 May.
