A new challenge awaits for recruits in Bristol looking to join ‘The Network’. The makers of London based Sherlock: The Official Live Game are bringing their interactive outdoor experience to cities around the UK and will be launching in Bristol on Thursday 1 April.

The outdoor version of the hugely popular Sherlock Escape experience was developed in response to the pandemic and first launched in West London in 2020. Following its great success, the game is now launching in Bristol with a walking route that features Bristolian landmarks, alongside a series of clues, conundrums, and codes that need to be cracked in this original Sherlock-inspired outdoor detective challenge.

Participants will follow in the footsteps of the great detective as teams of 2-6 take part in an outdoor digital mission with a twist. Mixing gameplay with story, Sherlock: The Official Outdoor Game is self-hosted and uses interactive narrative. Teams will have to work hard to unravel the plot whilst being guided by Sherlock’s brother, Mycroft, as he sends requests for information, asks for assistance with tasks and guides groups as they travel by foot across Bristol.

The live Holmes investigation is fun for everyone, even if you haven’t seen the TV series, and will test players skills and mental ability as they gather key evidence, find clues, crack codes and solve the mystery. Teams will be digitally assisted along their physical journey by animated videos, voicemail and text messaging.

A total mystery ready to be solved, download the app, book a spot, gather your most intrepid and intelligent friends, and get ready to step into the shoes of the great detective.

To celebrate the launch, there will be a competition with free tickets up for grabs so keep an eye on their Instagram page @221b for the chance to win!

Recruits, Sherlock: The Official Outdoor Game awaits!

Sherlock: The Official Live Game will be adhering to all government guidelines. To avoid teams coming into contact with other players throughout their game, group times will be staggered.
