Future Core and Digital Skills: Agri-Food and Land Stewardship
2nd December 2025
Starts at 10:00am
Ends at 11:00am
Join this one-hour online focus group to share your insights and experiences as part of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). Your views will help ensure local training and provision reflects the real needs of employers in the agri-food and land stewardship sectors.
We’re bringing together businesses to explore what skills are needed for future growth, with a focus on core and digital skills, plus how to attract new talent and what younger generations expect from employers.
We’ll discuss:
- The emerging skills and technologies shaping your sector such as precision agriculture, data analytics, digital sensors, automation, environment regulation and sustainability
- How to attract and retain new entrants, especially Gen Z talent
- The growing importance of digital and core skills across your industry
Your insights will help shape future training, influence local skills priorities, and ensure the workforce of tomorrow aligns with your business needs.
Why join us?
Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) place employers at the heart of local skills systems. Colleges and universities are training your future workforce, so join us to discuss what skills you need from your staff now, and in the future. Your insights will help us work with education providers and partners to shape provision and courses moving forward. Business West Chambers of Commerce is working in partnership with Somerset Chamber of Commerce to deliver the Somerset LSIP.
Who can join us?
This event is open to any employee from any business in the agri-food or land stewardship sector, located in the Somerset local area, that wants to impact the skills workforces will need in the future.
