About

oin us for our monthly networking event at the SETsquared Bath Innovation Centre. Each month we bring you insights on entrepreneurship, funding, new tech, how to grow a business and look at what’s happening in our community. Shoutouts about events and news also welcome.

Grab a pastry from 8.30am and network with Bath’s innovative business community, we start the session from 9.00am.

First Thursday Networking - Grants Made Simple (and Useful!)

Join us for First Thursday Networking Session in September, where we’re thrilled to welcome Ben Hutchinson and Matt Young, our Grant Writers-in-Residence from BAM Innovation, for an energising and informative talk that no start-up should miss!

Grants can be a game-changer - but where to start? Ben and Matt will give a quick and practical introduction to grant funding, focusing on Innovate UK and NIHR opportunities. They’ll take us on a whistlestop tour of how to make grants work for your start-up, share top tips for writing a winning application, and explain how the Innovation Centre and Grant Writers-in-Residence can support you along the way.

Whether you’ve never considered applying for a grant or you’re already knee-deep in funding applications, this is a great chance to learn something new, ask questions, and connect with fellow founders over coffee and conversation.

Due to catering deadlines, we regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate specific food allergens, intolerances or dietary requirements for registrations made less than 7 days before the event. Thank you for your understanding.
