This screen industries meetup will have a focus on skills and opportunities for people in the industry, and the challenges for finding work or moving to different sectors.
The evening will begin with some casual networking, followed by an introduction from Sara Whybrew from the British Film Institute. There will then be a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities around skills in the screen industries, followed by breakout sessions focusing on specific challenges in the screen industries.
Panel discussion: Evolving skills for a changing industry
A panel of experts from broadcast, education and the film industry will help answer the most pressing questions from host Adam Millbank (Nine Tree Studios), as well as the audience.
Panelists: Stacey Olika from Channel 4; Jane Coulter from The Bottle Yard Studios; Charlotte Wadsworth from Aardman; Sara Whybrew from BFI and Sherie Humphreys from WEMCA.

You’ll learn how to craft a CV that not only highlights your strengths but can also be adapted to help you pivot into other roles in the creative sector. Whether you’re looking to switch careers, or open doors to new opportunities, we’ll show you how to showcase your existing skills.
Mental health and support needs in the screen industries
Hosted by Elle Dimond with input from freelance mental health champion Dominic Pisani, this session and open discussion will tackle the current impact of industry disruption on mental health, and the resources you can access.
