Winter Gardens

About

The Winter Gardens Pavilion is a significant part of Weston-super-Mare's seafront and its history as a major player in British seaside tourism.

The Pavilion was designed in 1924 by notable garden designer and town planner Thomas Mawson and town surveyor Harry Brown. It was opened on the 14th July 1927 by Sir Earnest S. Palmer, deputy chairman of the Great Western Railway.

In its 90th year, the Winter Gardens Pavilion reopened to the public after an extensive renovation and refurbishment, which saw £15 million spent on improving the building’s public facilities and creating an educational centre for law, finance, and some university-level course.

The Winter Gardens' ballroom is one of the most spectacular event spaces in the UK and can cater for a variety of corporate events including product launches, exhibitions, business meetings and team building exercises; the possibilities are endless.

The team will be on hand throughout the whole planning process, to guide you through from your first enquiry and initial show around, to helping you make the most of the space. The team will make sure that the all-important details are not forgotten, so you don’t have to.

The ballroom features amazing audio visual technology including large screen, state-of-the-art colour changing lighting system, a stage with option microphone options. We can also provide a highly skilled technician to assist you event for an additional fee.

If you are looking for the perfect wedding venue then look no further - the ballroom is a licensed venue and the team are on hand to make your day simply magical.

Accessibility

Hearing Loop installed. Mobility access via mobility lifts into the ballroom. All areas accessible to disabled delegates and visitors. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

Sustainability

The team try and source all produce from local businesses and use fairtrade where possible. All disposable cups are plastic free and the venue is trying to achieve Plastic Free Champion status with the local Chamber of Commerce.
