Change is happening, from sustainability targets and safety innovation, to AI-assisted monitoring and smart waste systems, and we want to talk to employers at the heart of these sectors to understand what skills your workforce needs.
Join this Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) online focus group to discuss:
- Your experience of current and emerging skills needs.
- The barriers to recruitment, retention, and upskilling.
- Local training and education provision to better support your business and the wider sector
Your insights will feed into the West of England and North Somerset LSIP, and help us ensure future training and provision meets your business needs.

Your insights will help us work with education providers and partners to shape provision and courses moving forward.
Who can join us?
This event is open to any employee from any business in community safety, cleaning or waste collection sectors, located in the West of England and North Somerset local area, that wants to impact the skills workforces will need in the future.
If you’re a training provider or regional partner and you’d like to get involved, please email us first at LSIP@businesswest.co.uk to discuss. These focus groups aim to collect business intelligence directly from businesses in the specified local areas. However, we may have some available spaces for our partners and providers to join.

There is no charge for this event. Tickets are only available for a restricted time due to limited capacity. Book now to avoid disappointment.
