The following vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Noah's Ark Zoo Farm:

Part-Time Retail Assistant

We are currently looking for a Retail Assistant to work every Sunday with the chance to flex-up their days as and when required.

If you have a flair at providing outstanding customer service, then we want to hear from you. 

Some of your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

  • Providing a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our visitors.
  • Have strong product knowledge and be happy to give any additional information as and when required.
  • Taking customer orders and payments, operating the tills.
  • Serving hot and cold food to our customers.
  • Ensuring the shop displays are always fully stocked and presentable to customers.
  • Tidy and clean tables and customer areas in and around the Farm Shop.
  • To communicate and work closely with Senior staff and our Chef’s to ensure food and drink supplies are well managed throughout each day.
  • Assist with seasonal produce, i.e., Pumpkins and Christmas Trees (a level of fitness is required for this role, i.e., lifting).
  • Follow our Stock Control Policy.
  • Food Hygiene & Allergen compliance.
  • Could also be asked to work in our busy Gift Shop as and when needed.

About you:

  • Customer service experience – Essential.
  • Till trained and cash handling experience  – Essential.
  • Experience of working within a Visitor attraction/Retail/Hospitality sector preferred.
  • Barista trained – Preferred.
  • Good team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate – preferred.
  • Driving licence or own transport – preferred (you must be able to get to this rural location).
  • For this role, applicants will need to be aged 18 years +

Salary: You will be paid the National Minimum Wage for your age.
