Career Development

Whether you are looking for a new career in the tourism and hospitality industry or are looking for new opportunities within the sector, it is important to know which organisations can assist and guide you through this process.

There are services and organisations in the region that are doing fantastic work to support people in finding the right role for them and helping with skills development.

Skills Connect

Skills Connect is a one-stop website developed by the West of England Combined Authority, bringing together information on all skills, training, and career support available across the region.

Springboard

Springboard aims to support the hospitality, leisure, and tourism industry and those seeking employment within it. Their work is built around three key areas: employability training programmes, education programmes and careers resources and advice.

Historic England

Historic England provides training and guidance to help the public sector, heritage professionals, owners and voluntary organisations look after England's heritage. They also train those whose work directly or indirectly impacts historic sites and buildings, running training courses on a range of subjects.

The King’s Trust

The King's Trust is a leading UK charity, established in 1976 by His Majesty King Charles III. Originally founded as the Prince's Trust, the organisation has a long-standing commitment to supporting young people aged 11 to 30 who face significant barriers to employment. Through targeted programmes and tailored support, The King's Trust helps young people build the confidence and skills they need to move forward in education, training, and work.
