Visit West, the official Local Visitor Economy Partnership for the West of England, has today announced a new travel trade website (visitwest.co.uk/trade), offering a more intuitive and comprehensive resource for DMCs, tour operators, travel agents and transport companies looking to include Bristol, Bath and beyond in their itineraries.

The new website brings enhanced functionality and user experience, showcasing the region while serving as a practical resource for UK and international travel trade buyers. A detailed supplier directory lists accommodation, things to do, food and drink, and ground handlers, with each listing covering key selling points for groups, useful travel trade information, and enhanced and exclusive experiences. A dedicated itineraries section offers ready-made trade itineraries for Bath, Bristol, the Cotswolds and Mendips.

Visit West’s Head of Marketing, Jon Chamberlain, who leads on travel trade engagement, said: “Our new travel trade website is an incredibly useful resource for buyers looking to extend or enhance itineraries in Bristol, Bath and beyond. Further developments will include new inspirational itineraries based on market insights, and more businesses featured as they develop their offering for the international travel trade. Coupled with a packed diary of events this autumn and winter, we are confident that our region will be front of mind with buyers in key markets.”

A representative from Visit West recently visited Australia and New Zealand as part of a major trade mission led by Visit Britain to drive tourism growth. After a trade workshop in Aukland, New Zealand attended by 150 travel agents and advisors, the mission continued to Sydney and Melbourne where dozens of British travel trade and industry suppliers met with more than 300 buyers and advisors from Australia to do business, with trade media also in attendance.

Further autumn travel trade activity for the organisation includes attendance at the UKinbound Inspire workshop, Global European Marketplace and World Travel Market as well as a sales mission to China. The team will also be helping to host the Great West Way Marketplace at Bristol Dockyards later this week and have familiarisation trips with buyers from Germany, Switzerland and Australia planned with more events and trips for 2027 already in the diary.

The Bristol and Bath region has a strong appeal to international visitors with both cities frequently in top destinations for overseas guests.  It is estimated that more than 1m international visitors came to the West of England region in 2025, spending around £500m.
