About

Harbour House is one of Bristol’s most distinctive waterfront event venues, offering a spectacular setting for unforgettable celebrations, corporate events and private gatherings. Located within one of the city’s last remaining 19th-century transit sheds, the venue combines striking historic architecture with sweeping harbour views and a vibrant atmosphere.

Rich in Bristol history and character rumoured to have once been Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s private boathouse and later the site of Banksy’s first exhibition in 2000, Harbour House delivers an event backdrop unlike anywhere else in the city. Whether you’re planning a corporate event, celebration or exclusive party, the venue offers a memorable experience in a truly iconic Bristol location.

Conferences & Meetings

If you’re looking for a conference venue with personality, Harbour House offers a truly “Proper Bristol” experience. The venue can host up to 200 guests standing or 125 seated in the dining room, with additional space for networking events, buffets and drinks receptions in the award-winning bar.

Conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads, with nearby parking and disabled access, Harbour House is easily accessible for both local and travelling delegates. Their dedicated events team works closely with organisers from the first enquiry through to the event itself, ensuring every detail from room layout and menus to entertainment and timings is carefully managed to create a seamless and memorable event.

Parties & Social Events

From milestone birthdays and festive parties to elegant gala dinners and wedding celebrations, Harbour House provides a stunning and versatile setting for social events of all kinds.

With beautiful harbour views, flexible event spaces and exceptional food and drink, the venue can easily transform from a relaxed dining experience into a lively celebration with live bands, DJs and a full dance floor. Whether you’re planning an intimate private dinner or a large celebration, Harbour House offers an atmosphere that feels both special and effortlessly fun.

Gala Dinners & Private Dining

Food and drink are at the heart of every Harbour House event. Their menus celebrate the very best seasonal produce from the Southwest, with a particular focus on exceptional seafood and generous, crowd-pleasing dishes.

Guests can enjoy signature favourites such as seafood linguine and kedgeree arancini, alongside beautifully presented sharing menus, buffets or elegant seated dining options. The drinks offering showcases locally brewed Bristol beers, our curated ‘Britz’ list of English sparkling wines, and a lively selection of seasonal cocktails, wines and craft gins perfect for bringing energy and atmosphere to any event.

The Dining Room offers a stylish yet relaxed setting for private dining and celebrations, with space to seat 10–120 guests. Seasonal set and sharing menus showcase the very best produce from trusted Southwest suppliers. For larger celebrations, the space can be transformed into a vibrant party venue with live music, DJs and a dance floor.

The lively bar is ideal for sociable gatherings and networking events. With room for 80+ guests standing and seated, plus direct access to the waterfront terrace, it’s perfect for birthday celebrations, corporate socials or wedding receptions. The build-your-own buffet and canapé menus make hosting effortless while keeping guests well fed and entertained.

Few venues in Bristol can compete with the views from the Waterfront Terrace. Overlooking the harbour, this unique outdoor space accommodates up to 80 guests and is perfect for drinks receptions, summer parties or relaxed celebrations by the water.

For truly memorable occasions, Harbour House is available for exclusive venue hire, giving you private access to the restaurant, bar and waterfront terrace. With space for up to 200 guests, it’s the ideal setting for weddings, large corporate events, gala dinners and standout celebrations in one of Bristol’s most unique venues.

Competitive Socialising & Team Building

Looking to make your event more interactive? Harbour House work with a range of trusted local partners to deliver engaging team-building and entertainment experiences. Their sister venue The Gaffe can arrange comedians for ice-breakers or after-dinner entertainment, while creative local suppliers can provide magicians, burlesque performers, floral workshops and live sketch artists—adding a fun and memorable dimension to corporate events.

Social Impact

Harbour House is proud to support local charities including The Grand Appeal, Bristol Churches Shelter and Street Smart UK. They are always happy to work with event organisers who wish to incorporate a social impact element into their event, from fundraising initiatives to donating a percentage of event revenue to a chosen charity.
