The Clayton Hotel Bristol City opened its doors in April 2022. A modern contemporary hotel housed in the Grade ll listed Everards print works. The design of the building celebrates Bristol’s connection to art whilst restoring a piece of local history. 

The hotel’s location right in the heart of Bristol makes it an ideal base for business and leisure, within walking distance of Bristol Temple Meads railway station, Bristol Bus Station and other local transport links. The hotel is also located close to Bristol Shopping Quarter, the popular St Nicholas Market and the Harbourside, with its abundance of restaurants and bars, just a short stroll away.  

This 4 star hotel has 255 air-conditioned bedrooms, designed with relaxation in mind. The comfortable rooms are the ideal place to relax after a busy day in the city. Each room boasts luxurious King Koil beds, large flat-screen TV’s with free WiFi throughout the hotel. 

Everard’s Bar & Restaurant in the open plan lobby area serves a range of food and drink throughout the day.  

Conferences & Meetings

Ideally located in Bristol city centre, the 6 stylish and bright meeting rooms are fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect meeting, with room for up to 58 delegates. All of the state-of-the-art meeting spaces feature stunning CleverTouch 86” interactive whiteboard and presentation screens giving you a seamless collaborative experience. 

Designed for you, the dedicated Meetings and Events floor has an outdoor courtyard, and conference lounge, with a private entrance and drop off point. 

The venue understands the importance of a good meal for making an impression. The expert chef team have crafted a mouth-watering selection of dining options to suit your tastes and dietary needs. 

Parties & Social Events

Clayton Bristol offers a versatile and vibrant party experience throughout the year, from relaxed summer parties and corporate events to festive Christmas celebrations with tailored menus and entertainment. Not forgetting those all-important personal moments, from birthday parties to milestone celebrations - the flexible event spaces, stylish surroundings, and dedicated in-house event support provides the ideal location for memorable events.    

Gala Dinners & Private Dining

The hotel's private event spaces on the dedicated Meetings & Events floor are an ideal setting for private meals and gatherings. These rooms are perfect for intimate events and group dinners and can accommodate up to 35 guests. If you have a larger group or want a slightly less formal setup, the hotel’s main restaurant Everard’s can be booked for exclusive or semi-private dining. You may book sections of the restaurant or the whole space depending on your specific requirements.

The hotel has a number of versatile event spaces which can be used for team building events and they have preferred suppliers who know the venue well and can support the delivery of dynamic, competitive experiences.

Sustainability Policy

Clayton Hotels are committed to significantly improving their processes and practices to reduce any harmful impacts they are having on the environment. They abide by their Living Green sustainability policy. They do not use single use plastics. All lighting in corridors and bedrooms is movement-activated and they have LED lighting solutions across their hotels. The hotel has Green Tourism Gold Accreditation and they continually aim to reduce waste, energy-related emissions and water consumption. More details can be found here.  

Access Statement

The hotel is wheelchair accessible. While the main entrance of the hotel has steps, an alternative accessible entrance is available on John Street. Guests can use the doorbell at this entrance and a team member will assist shortly. Floors including the meeting room floor is then accessible via lift.  

The historic Old City is pedestrianised with an automatic barrier at Newmarket Avenue limiting access to Broad Street.  

To arrange vehicle access to the hotel please email the council at least five working days in advance of your visit. Emergency contact details are displayed at the barriers. Further details on Bristol City Council website.  

The hotel also offers accessible bedrooms designed for comfort and convenience, featuring adapted bathrooms with grab rails, ample floor space, and emergency assistance alarms. Please note the hotel does not provide mobility equipment.
