About

The Guildhall is Bath’s prime conference venue and has been the civic heart of the city since the 1700s. Today, this opulent building offers a blend of flexible and versatile space and contemporary facilities for conferences, meetings, receptions and dinners.

For those seeking ‘wow factor’ with a large capacity space, the beautiful Banqueting Room ticks all the boxes and there are also several convenient break-out rooms and catering spaces on site. Unusually for such a prestigious venue, clients can choose from a selection of recommended caterers or bring in their own.

For a quintessentially Bath experience, why not combine a conference at the Guildhall with a drinks reception and dinner at the award-winning and unique Roman Baths & Pump Room just across the road?

Conveniently located in the centre of Bath and close to the train station, the Guildhall is an accessible and convenient venue. Bristol is only 11 minutes away by train and London under 80 minutes away.

Accessibility

The Guildhall is accessible to wheelchair users. There is level access to the ground floor of the Guildhall either via the door by the High Street entrance to the market between 9am and 5pm, or via the rear of the building within the car park and up the ramp to the main back door.

A lift is available for one wheelchair at a time to access the first floor.

There are accessible toilets on the ground and first floors.

Induction loops are fitted in the Banqueting Room, Council Chamber and Brunswick Room.

Sustainability

Sustainable transport/travel discounts available: GWR reduced conference fares for delegates

There are Sheffield bike stands in the car park available for anyone to use.

There are 2 water fountains, one on the ground floor and the other on the 1st floor, available to all.  So reduces the need for single use plastic if people bring their own water containers.

Clients are free to choose a caterer of their choice who has relevant sustainability credentials.

The majority of lights are now LED and any that aren’t are being phased out.
