Situated at the heart of the World Heritage City, the Roman Baths & Pump Room is the perfect choice for festive celebrations.
Steeped in history, this iconic venue makes a stunning setting for gatherings large or small. Guests may gather beside the steaming waters of the torchlit Great Bath, on paving that is over 2000 years old to enjoy drinks – perhaps some champagne, or even a warming mulled wine. After arrival drinks, guests may move upstairs to the Terrace, or into the grand Pump Room for festive dining or a party with a buffet or bowl food. If you are planning a very large event, you can hire the whole venue, and accommodate up to 300 guests.
The Terrace with its view over the Great Bath is both an intimate and atmospheric party venue. It can be combined with the adjoining Reception Hall, which has a central lit-up bar and space for dancing, so that up to 160 guests can be accommodated. For a more formal gathering, the Georgian Pump Room can also accommodate 160 guests. This elegant room has a stage for live bands or a DJ, and there is also a Steinway piano in situ.
At the Roman Baths & Pump Room catering is provided by nationally renowned caterers Searcys (the longest running catering company in the UK also based at the Gherkin and Blenheim palace). For exclusive parties they can offer anything from quirky bowl food and canapes around the Baths to a sumptuous gala dinner, with wines and champagne to match. Their delicious food, and the breath-taking surroundings, will ensure that your guests have an unforgettable evening.
