Homewood Bath

About

Homewood Hotel & Spa, for a fantastically fun time.

Eclectic, luxurious and slightly eccentric; think grand Georgian country house and grounds filled with creative artworks and ultra-modern indulgences including a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool. No need to wait for an invite from the Bridgerton’s – feel like lord or lady of the manor for a few days; corsets optional.

Escape just 15 minutes away from Bath into the rolling hills and valleys of the west country, where you’ll find Homewood, sitting in 20 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds with views across the Avon Valley. Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of The World collection for 2021, this eclectic and luxurious country house hotel recently launched 10 new rooms in its new Mallingford Mews, with hot tub suites and balconies to make the most of the countryside scenery. Oodles of character, exceptional quality and great views are what our 21 main house bedrooms have in common. Each one completely different, find unique statement artwork and lots of lovely accessories including Dyson hairdryers and Smeg coffee machines.

Whether it’s a gathering of the clans, a private dinner or a party with all the trimmings, Homewood has a variety of rooms and social spaces. From important boardroom meetings or more relaxed team events, including small gatherings in our dining domes, we have it all. Fancy something more exclusive? Take the whole property privately and create an unforgettable experience.

The hotel’s Olio Restaurant combines Somerset ingredients with Mediterranean inspiration, served indoors and on the extensive, sun-drenched outdoor Olio terrace launched in 2020, complete with outdoor kitchen and bar. Whether enjoying a feasting platter in the sunshine on their outdoor terrace or sampling Somerset flavours inside, their emphasis is always on sustainable, often hedgerow fresh ingredients, with a proud, local provenance. Homewood is also currently developing a new Kitchen Garden. Based on an innovative ‘no-dig’ initiative, it will enable the property to create its very own produce to use in its outdoor kitchen.

Harnessing the spirit of the Roman’s love of a good spa, Homewood has created a pampering haven for guests. Offering some wonderful treatments, their facilities include an indoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room as well as a heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub with views over the valley.

And now for something completely different - your very own 'Big Green Egg' barbecue dining experience, nestled amongst the tree line of their lawns, with unbroken views over the hotel grounds. Complete with Champagne, wine and a three-course feast, a member of your group will then be promoted to head chef for the day (apron at the ready), who will be shown the ropes on your very own ‘Big Green Egg’, so they can finish grilling your main course themselves!
