Just 85 minutes from London or 50 minutes from Cardiff by train, and with over 120 international links from Bristol Airport, this is a region rich with both iconic sights, and lesser-known gems.

Banksy, boats, balloons and Brunel are what this historic maritime city is best known for, but we can add in a few more, from the beats of the ‘Bristol sound’ which the city’s pioneering music artists shaped in the 90s, to its breweries and brilliant food scene, which has a strong passion for local and sustainable ingredients.
This double UNESCO-accredited city boasts stunning Georgian architecture, an array of award-winning spas, literary links to Jane Austen and Mary Shelley, and some of the best-preserved Roman sites in the world. Bath also serves as the backdrop to Bridgerton and is home to one of the most famous rugby clubs in the world.
To the north you’ll find the South Cotswolds, home to grand country house hotels, medieval castles and royal links, stunning countryside and picturesque villages.
To the south are the rolling Mendip hills of Somerset, which hold a plethora of cider orchards, vineyards and small-scale producers, including the origins of the world-famous Cheddar cheese.

The region is well-known for championing independent, local businesses, from headlining regional specialties on menus, to offering tours of local cidermakers, farms and nature reserves.
