Meet Bristol & Bath IBTM World round up.
IBTM World is one of the key events in the Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) trade show calendar. The three day event is held in Barcelona and brings the global meetings and events industry together to adapt to change, solve their biggest challenges, and accelerate transformation. The appointment based show also provides an excellent way of raising the profile of Bristol, Bath and the west of England and its venues to event planners to generate future business and visits for corporates, associations, incentive groups and more.
Our Head of Business Events, Helen Applin represented Meet Bristol & Bath at the show. She joined nine other English destinations, six venues and two Destination Management Companies (DMCs) who came together on the MeetEngland stand. Helen was joined by Robin Wiltshire representing De Vere Tortworth Court and De Vere Hotels.
Attendance at the three day event resulted in;
▪️ Over 50 meetings with engaged event planners resulting
▪️ An on-stand Meet Bristol & Bath presentation to 15 hosted buyers
▪️ Attendance at a MeetEngland evening event with 20 hosted international event planners
▪️ Attendance at a VisitBritain Business Events dinner attended by 15 international association planners.
The show was busy and created meaningful conversations with both domestic and international event planners. Many of these had live enquiries and RFPs to discuss. The work now begins to develop and nurture these relationships to encourage MICE business into the region.
