Selection of beers

About

Froth & Fries is an independent bar in the heart of Bristol, serving up expertly poured craft beer and delicious loaded fries in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Located on Broad Street in the historic city centre, Froth & Fries combines great flavour, great people, and a feel-good atmosphere that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more.

Formerly known as The Strawberry Thief, this venue has built a loyal following over the past nine years, and now enters an exciting new chapter under the Froth & Fries name. The rebrand brings a sharper focus on flavour-forward drinks and elevated comfort food - always served with friendly, down-to-earth table service that makes every visit feel personal.

Guests can expect a carefully curated beer list that celebrates the best of local and international brewing, with options to suit everyone from casual drinkers to curious craft beer lovers. Whether it’s a crisp lager, a bold Belgian tripel, or something hoppy and hazy, there’s always something new and interesting on tap.

Alongside the beers, Froth & Fries offers a menu of delicious sides; our specialty are hand-cut, triple-cooked fries with a variety of toppings, from classic to adventurous. It’s a simple menu, done really well, with a focus on quality ingredients (including locally sourced potatoes). All fries are vegan as standard, with both veggie and meat toppings available.

With cosy interiors, a prime city centre location, and outdoor seating all year round, Froth & Fries is ideal for everything from post-work pints to casual catch-ups, date nights, solo visits, or the key moments in life & career - we've hosted wedding receptions as well as corporate events. The atmosphere is laid-back and unpretentious, making it a favourite among regulars and new faces alike.

Group bookings are welcome, and the venue is available for private hire for events, tastings, or celebrations. The team also works closely with local producers and community partners to spotlight great flavours from across the region.

Froth & Fries is more than just a bar - it’s a place to slow down, savour the good stuff, and feel right at home.
