Victoria Art Gallery is Bath’s public art museum and home to a richly diverse collection of paintings, sculpture and decorative arts.

Included in the many items in its care are an original Tudor portrait of Henry VIII in the style of Holbein and works by Thomas Gainsborough, Thomas Barker, Gillian Ayres, Walter Sickert, Paul Klee and Grayson Perry. Entrance to the permanent collection is free.

Accessibility Information

Level access is via a ramped entrance on Bridge Street. A lift is available with space for one wheelchair at a time.

Pressing a button on the outside of the building in Bridge Street automatically opens the doors for wheelchair users. There is an accessible toilet on the first floor.

A lift is available with space for one wheelchair at a time. Capacity 8 people, weight limit 630Kg, dimensions 1.38m long x 1.11m wide, doorway 0.8m wide.

Activities for disabled groups are also provided. These include workshops for special schools, and regular talks/handling sessions for visually impaired people. A sign language interpreter can be arranged in advance.
