About

Tucked just off Bristol’s buzzing Gloucester Road (15 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes’ drive from the city centre), Cooking It is not just a cookery school – it’s a full-blown food experience.

From the moment your group steps into the kitchen, the music goes on, aprons come out, drinks start flowing and the room turns into a lively, hands-on cooking studio. You don’t just make food…
you cook together, sit together, eat together, laugh together.

Unlike “box-and-go” baking sessions, at Cooking It the experience doesn’t end when the oven turns off. The grand finale is a shared feast around the table – the kind that sparks stories, inside jokes and the sort of laughter that echoes long after dessert.

Whether you’re planning a team building day, hen or stag party, children’s party, family celebration, date night or foodie night out, Cooking It turns cooking into a social event worth travelling for.

Adult Cookery Classes

Led by professional chefs, Cooking It’s adult classes are a passport to the world’s kitchens – no jet lag required.

You might find yourself:

  • Folding Korean dumplings or learning the art of Bao Buns and Dim Sum
  • Slurping ramen from scratch
  • Rolling fresh pasta or learning about pastry
  • Baking sourdough, artisan bread or pickling and preserving techniques
  • Mastering French, Greek, Spanish and Italian classics
  • Trying Michelin-style technical challenges
  • Or learning the art of knife skills like a pro

Every class is hands-on, friendly, and designed for all abilities. And at the end? You all sit down together and enjoy what you’ve created. All classes can also be booked as private events.

Corporate Team Building

If you’re tired of awkward icebreakers and beige meeting rooms, this is your moment.

At Cooking It, teams cook side-by-side in a relaxed, high-energy kitchen. You’ll collaborate, compete, taste, laugh and connect in a way that no flipchart ever could.

Choose from competitive cook-offs, collaborative menus or mystery challenges – all finishing with a shared sit-down meal and drinks.

It’s team bonding, but with garlic.

Hen & Stag Parties (or whatever reason to get together and celebrate

Start with a drink. End with a feast.

Cooking It’s adult, hen and stag parties are legendary for a reason. The kitchen becomes your private party space where everyone gets stuck in, whether they’re lifelong friends or meeting for the first time.

Cooking together melts the awkwardness, the food sparks conversation, and by the time you’re sitting down to eat, the room is buzzing.

After coffee, pudding, music, dancing  and games, Gloucester Road’s bars and pubs are right on your doorstep for the next chapter of the night.

Kids’ Classes & Parties

Cooking It is also a magical place for younger chefs.

Children learn real cooking skills while having fun, working independently or in small teams. Holiday clubs, after-school sessions and themed workshops run throughout the year.

And yes – children as young as five can host a cooking birthday party, making their own food and sharing it with friends.
