Mendip Activity Centre is sponsoring fifteen-year-old archer Liv Morledge, a member of Burnham Company of Archers, throughout summer 2024.

Liv's passion and talent for archery was discovered during a family archery taster session in 2019.  Since then, Liv has become three-time Somerset county champion by competing at a range of indoor and outdoor events throughout the South West.

Liv said: “Archery is my absolute passion in life and I shoot and train altogether six times a week and my aim this year is to be selected for Archery GB’s National Age Group Olympic performance pathway. It’s my dream to make it to the Olympics one day and I’ve got a busy year ahead with lots of competitions coming up and I’m really looking forward to improving and getting selected."

George Combe, Marketing Manager at Mendip Activity Centre said: "Liv completed her work experience with us in March 2024 so we were excited to have the opportunity to support her further through sponsorship. Archery is one of the most traditional sports but is constantly growing and adapting. With the summer Olympic games approaching, this is a brilliant opportunity for everyone to try the sport and discover their inner archer!"

Archery Great Britain's 'Start Archery Week' takes place from 4 May to 12 May 2024 and Mendip Activity Centre are taking part. There are a number of pre-bookable archery sessions available in their brand new covered target sport ranges in Churchill, North Somerset.
