People enjoying a meal on the terrace at Bristol Lido

About

The Lido is a uniquely Bristolian experience: a 21st century take on a Victorian institution. This architecturally ambitious building, reflecting Egyptian design influences, served as a community leisure facility for more than 100 years before falling into disrepair and being closed in 1990. The restaurant sits in the old viewing gallery, with a wonderful vista of the pool, which is dramatically lit at night.

The food at the Lido is inspired by head chef Pash’s origins to the Ionian Islands in Greece. Using traditional cooking methods with a chargrill and clay oven, their chefs focus on sourcing the best ingredients from local suppliers, farmers and fishermen from the West and South Coast. Their olive oil, Aetos Ithaki, is sourced from Pash’s brother’s olive tree grove on the Greek island of Ithaca, trees that have been in their family for generations.
The poolside bar offers freshly baked cakes baked inhouse daily, as well as breakfast and Eastern Mediterranean small plates. The friendly front of house team is highly knowledgeable on all dishes and are happy to help you pair each dish with a wine or cocktail from their extensive drinks menu.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available, including gluten-free bread. Table bookings are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Private Hire

Exclusive and private hire of the restaurant is possible, whether it’s for a wedding, a work event or any other special event, you will not find a more unique space in Bristol for your party. For event enquiries please contact events@lidobristol.com
