More than just a Students’ Union bar, the Balloon Bar offers some of the best value for food and drinks in Clifton's area to the students and general public alike. 

The Balloon bar takes pride in safe drinking culture and is thrilled to be a part of Ask for Angela/Clive schemes, with drinks toppers and spiking kits available. 

They serve tasty sandwiches, locally sourced coffee and a selection of both draughts and bottled alcoholic beverages with options of lighter choices too. They’re committed to being a sustainable bar by reducing waste and single-use plastic, so remember to bring your keep-cup with you to avoid a surcharge for take away cups!

They provide fresh, locally sourced, hearty food throughout the week. Freshly bakes pastries, homemade sausage rolls and pasties are available all throughout the day, with a wide selection of smoothies, iced coffees and Fair Trade hot beverages . The Balloon Bar caters for everyone, offering a vegan menu as well as multiple gluten free and vegetarian options. All served by friendly and attentive staff.

A projector screen, Arcade machines, tv and BT Sport subscription allows the Balloon Bar to showcase all manner of entertainment. There’s also a spacious terrace area to relax in the sun.

Regular events take place including student society takeovers and private bookings can be accommodated outside of term-time.
