About

Old Down Country Park Café, Afternoon Tea & Sunday Lunch

The café at Old Down Country Park is a relaxed and welcoming spot to enjoy great food and drink in a beautiful countryside setting. Whether you’re visiting the park or just popping in, the café is open to everyone with no park entry fee required, free parking and well behaved dogs welcome. Food is served daily from 9am to 3pm.

The menu includes a range of hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, pastries, sandwiches and toasted panini's, plus a new brunch menu featuring both comforting classics and lighter options. Favourites include the Croque Monsieur with cured ham and Gruyère, the Croque Madame topped with a soft egg, and a daily Soup of the Day served with rustic bread. Panini options include Chicken Pesto, Reuben, Greek Grilled Cheese, Tuna Melt, and a vegan grilled vegetable panini, making it an ideal stop for families, walkers and dog owners.

For something a little more special, Afternoon Tea in the Manor is served on selected Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm at Old Down Estate. Enjoy freshly baked scones, seasonal cakes and savoury treats in the elegant Manor House, with menus changing throughout the year and themed options for special occasions. Unlimited tea and coffee are included, along with lovely views across the estate’s gardens and the South Gloucestershire countryside. Gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free options are available on request, and Afternoon Tea gift vouchers are available too.

Sunday Lunch in the Manor is served on selected Sundays from 12:30pm to 2pm. Guests can enjoy a traditional Sunday roast with a choice of meat or vegetarian main, served with all the classic trimmings: roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy. Extra sides are available, and dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. A £5 deposit per person is required and deducted from the final bill. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Sunday Lunch and Afternoon Tea can be booked via our website.
