People on terrace at Clifton Observatory

About

The 360 café offers both indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views and a tranquil atmosphere. Located atop Avon Gorge at the historic Clifton Observatory, visitors are invited to indulge in a variety of locally-sourced refreshments and snacks and to enjoy the outstanding panoramic views of Clifton Suspension Bridge from the rooftop terrace.

The cafe serves a variety of tasty food and drink products, from baguettes, bagels, focaccia, and locally baked cakes to hot drinks.Their speciality and most favoured menu item are the luxury hot chocolates with mounds of whipped cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and a variety of indulgent toppings. These can also be made cold for a refreshing iced treat during summer. The cafe offers a range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options across many of the menu items. Dogs are very welcome at the 360 café so please do bring them along!

Clifton Observatory is also home to an incredible working Camera Obscura that was first installed in 1829, and is the only access point to the legendary Giant’s Cave.

Please note that Clifton Observatory and the 360 café are accessible by foot only, via three footpaths on Observatory road and Clifton Down road. We operate on a walk-in only basis and do not take bookings. The rooftop terrace may occasionally be closed for private events.
