We understand that it is difficult time for hospitality businesses particularly with the busy summer period ahead, so we want to let you know that we are here to support you through these uncertain times.

Due to speaking to many businesses in the hospitality industry over the last few months we have an in-depth insight as to some of the employment challenges many of you are facing right now.

Therefore, we have put together a summary of some of the main questions we have been asked recently and provide some useful links to further information on these points.

Can you help us advertise a vacancy we have at present?

Absolutely! However, they way in which we advertise vacancies has changed slightly, let me explain...

On the 1st April, WECA (West of England Combined Authority) launched Jobs Connect which is a new jobs/skills platform that is FREE for all businesses to use in the Bristol & Bath region. The platform has a range of functions however its main purpose in phase one is to operate as a jobs board and act as a signposting tool to try & fill the many vacancies that the region has in the tourism and hospitality industry.

You can view some of the jobs that have already been uploaded here. It's really quick to get set up on Jobs Connect so just drop Faye an email & she will help you through the process.

I am interested in taking on an apprentice but don’t know where to start.

We completely understand that it is hard to dedicate time to this when you are busy or potentially short staffed so let us help. We work with a range of organisations that work directly with apprentices so have a chat with us and we can put you in touch with the most suitable organisation for your business.

There are many benefits to taking on an apprentice, in fact The National Apprenticeship Service website states that 96% of employers that take on an apprentice report benefits to their business and 72% of businesses report improved productivity as a result of employing an apprentice.
