Spread across four floors in one of Bristol’s most spectacular buildings The Milk Thistle is one of the cities best-loved cocktail bars as well as being the perfect location to host your event. With a reputation for some of the best drinks in Bristol, this clandestine cocktail bar is also the perfect unique venue for masterclasses, dinner parties and private parties. 

The Attic

The Milk Thistle's secret Attic is ideal for private dining events catered by our award-winning sister restaurant, The Ox, and is the perfect alternative choice for intimate private parties. It's equipped with a private bar and its own sound system and is ideal for smaller parties. 

The Lounge

The Lounge at The Milk Thistle is an ideal choice for cocktail masterclasses, gin experiences and private parties. It features its own private bar, sound system and space for entertainment, such as DJs and space for a dance floor. We offer a selection of delicious buffet and canape menus for both daytime and evening events catered for by our award-winning sister restaurant, The Ox.

The Vault

Our smallest private room, The Vault is perfect for spirit tastings and intimate drinks parties. The exclusive room comes equipped with a small bar and a comfortable seating area with access to the sound system. 

The Parlour

Our ground floor bar on the entrance level of The Milk Thistle is ideal for casual drinks for smaller groups, but can also be used as part of a full venue takeover. 

With a maximum capacity of 18 guests in The Vault, 16 guests for dining & 60 for drinks in The Attic, 60 guests in The Lounge, 80 guests in The Parlour, and a capacity of 120 guests for full venue exclusives, there’s a no hire fee for non-exclusive parties and a minimum spend for exclusive bookings.
